Text Messaging service from KMTS allows you to communicate anywhere, anytime without talking!
Note:International Text Messaging is a pay per use service and is not included in any text messaging plan (unlimited, 1000 or 250 message plans). Messages sent or received using short codes may be subject to additional charges over the monthly text messaging plan. Security of content sent over wireless devices cannot be guaranteed. Always use caution when communicating sensitive information.
Unless expressly guaranteed by KMTS in a particular Calling Plan not to change for the Term of the contract, rates are charged based on current rates applicable at the time of billing, and are subject to change. Delivery of Text messages that you send to a recipient who is with a wireless carrier other than KMTS, will be dependent on that other carrier’s network. Therefore, KMTS does not accept responsibility for the recipient receiving your message. Security of content sent over wireless devices cannot be guaranteed. Use caution when communicating sensitive information. When sending a Media Message from your mobile device, you will incur additional browser charges if you do not subscribe to an Unlimited Mobile Web feature bundle. Current charges are $0.50 per Media Message and $0.07 per kilobyte per media message but are subject to change without notice.

Pricing
KMTS has added new messaging packages. All new message packages offer the ability to combine text messages and media messages to the maximum number included in your plan, Any overage would be billed to you at the pay-per-use applicable rate. Media messages can be picture or video.

Send either text, media (picture or video) or a combination of both.
Once the cap is reached, overage will be billed at the standard pay-per-use rates and is subject to change without notice –
- SMS = $0.25/message sent within Canada.
- MMS = $0.50/message sent within Canada.
- When sending a Media Message from your mobile device, you will incur additional browser charges if you do not subscribe to an Unlimited Mobile Web feature bundle at a rate of $0.07 per kilobyte per media message and are subject to change without notice.
- International = $0.40/message sent to International destinations from Canada or while outside Canada.
Note: Category 1 – all text messages sent to a mobile device that has been activated with a non-CDN carrier (i.e. Verizon, T-Mobile, Vodaphone) will be $0.35/message. Category 2 – all text messages sent while travelling outside of Canada will be $0.35/message.

International Text Messaging
International Text Messaging is a quick, easy and inexpensive way to communicate with friends and family overseas. No more worries about what time it is, just send a message when it’s convenient for you.
International Text Message Instructions
- On your cell phone or mobile device, go to the main menu, then find the ‘Message’ or ‘Mail’ function, and indicate OK.
- Select ‘Text Message’ or ‘New Message’, and indicate OK.
- In the ‘Address’ or ‘Send To’ or ‘Phone Number’ screen enter (011 + country code + routing code + number you are calling) and indicate OK. Do not include any spaces or hyphens.
- In the ‘Message’ screen, enter your message using the letter on the keypad, and then indicate OK.
- Press the ‘Send Message’ key and your message will be sent.
- Overseas country codes can be found in your KMTS Telephone Directory.
