HOW CALLS ARE BILLED

Each month, we mail you a bill of your charges. Your monthly rate and airtime charges will depend on your cellular calling plan. Depending on where and when you used your cellular phone, some roaming airtime and long distance charges may not be reflected on your next bill, but will appear on a subsequent bill.


CALLING PLAN & VALUE ADDED OPTIONS

Your selected calling plan and any additional options (i.e. Voice Mail, Detailed Billing) are considered recurring and are billed one month in advance from the day after the date of your bill.


AIRTIME CHARGES

The rate you pay for airtime depends on your calling plan. Charges for airtime begin when you press [SND] to either place or answer a call, and stop accumulating when you press [END]. In Canada there is no charge if your call is not answered, or you reach a MTS Mobility system recording, or if you receive a busy signal.

On the KMTS Mobility network, airtime is charged on:

  • All completed incoming and outgoing calls from the time you press [SND] until you press [END].
  • Calls made to the operator [0] such as Calling Card and operator assisted calls.
  • 1-800 calls.
  • Voice Mail retrievals when calling from your cellular.

On the KMTS Mobility network, airtime is NOT charged on:

  • Unanswered calls, unless they are picked up by Voice Mail, answering machine, or recorded announcement.
  • KMTS Mobility Community Service Lines
  • 911 Emergency Calls
  • 611 or [*]611 KMTS Mobility Customer Service.

USING YOUR PHONE OUTSIDE THE KMTS MOBILITY HOME SYSTEM

  • Your airtime rate will follow you across Canada. The local time where you placed or received your call will be used to determine if the call will be billed as peak, evening or weekend calling.
  • When travelling outside Canada, cellular users are charged roaming airtime rates plus applicable long distance charges. Some U.S. carriers charge for all calls, whether completed or not.

FIRST BILL DETAILS

What you can expect on your first bill:

  • Monthly Calling Plan and additional optional charges from your date of activation to the bill date.
  • Monthly Calling Plan and additional optional charges billed one month in advance from the day after your bill date.
  • Airtime and long distance usage/directory assistance for the billing period prior to your bill date.
  • System or Network Access Fee, charged monthly.
  • A one time Activation Fee may apply on certain Calling Plans.
  • Any roaming charges incurred using your phone in the U.S.
  • Any charges waived at time of activation or special offerings will appear as promotional credits on your monthly bill.
