- When you have opened the “TCP/IP” program, you will notice it looks similar to Picture 2. Ensure that the “Connect Via” is on PPP, select “Using PPP Server” beside the “Configure” button. You will notice that you cannot put a entry into Ip Address, Subnet Mask, and router Address, this is fine, you do not have to put anything in those options. Enter 69.26.64.254 in the Name Server Address box. Put in kmts.ca in the Search Domains box. Once you have entered all the information, hit the box at the top left, and a warning box will come up asking you if you would like to save or cancel, select save.
- Now go to the “Apple” at the top left, “Control Panels”, then “Remote Access”.
- Leave the radio button on “Registered User”; enter your “User name”, for example if your e-mail address is jdoe@kmts.ca then your user name is jdoe. Ensure that you are not using capitals or spaces. Now click in the field that says “Password”. This is the password that you have selected when you set-up your account. (Picture 3), enter the phone number 467-5600. If you have call waiting, you can disable it while you are online by putting *70 (example *70,467-5600), this will prevent you from getting disconnected when people call you.

4. When you have entered the required information, select connect. Once you are connected then you can go open Internet Explorer or Netscape. You also may want to reboot your computer first.
