KMTS – How Kenora Communicates

Netscape Communicator 4 to 4.78 Setup

Home Page Setup

1. Under Edit select Preferences
2. Set home page to http://www.kmts.ca (or which ever home page you prefer).
3. Click OK

Email Setup

1. Under Edit select Preferences
2. Under Mail and Newsgroups, select Identity to set your identity on the internet.
3. Now select Mail Server, at the top right you will see the heading Incoming mail servers. If it is blank hit add, if it already has a mail server in the white box or simply says mail, select edit.
4. Now you will see at the top it says Server name, in that box type in mail.kmts.ca.
5. Leave the server type as POP3.
6. In the user name field, type in your user name, for example if your e-mail address is jdoe@kmts.ca put in jdoe (remember now capitols).
7. Put a check mark in Remember Password.
8. Now click OK, then OK again.

Groups Server

1. Select the Groups Server.
2. In the Discussion Groups (News) Server box type news.kmts.ca
3. Click OK
