I was born in 1949 in Ann Arbor, Michigan, where my father, Ralph E. Hunt, was completing his Doctoral Degree in law. My parents shortly thereafter returned to my hometown of Springfield, Missouri, where I lived until graduating from Parkview High School in 1967.

My father died May 24, 1995, and my mother, Genevieve Hunt, died April 18, 2004. My step-mother, Joyce Hunt, is still living in Springfield. My step-brother, Chris Crouch, and my step-sister, Teresa Davis (with her husband Jim), also live in Springfield. My brother, Ross Hunt, "keeps track of cheese" (and also carries out systems analysis and programming) for the US Department of Agriculture, in Kansas City, Missouri.

I lived in Sarasota, Florida, from 1967-1970, where I completed my Bachelor's degree at New College of Florida. I moved to Toronto, Canada in 1971, and received my Ph.D. in Counselling Psychology from the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education (University of Toronto) in 1978. Since completing my resident studies in 1975, I have lived across Canada, from Newfoundland to Kingston and Toronto, Ontario; Grande Prairie, Alberta; Prince George, British Columbia; and, since 1992, Kenora, Ontario.

I became a Christian in 1981. Through my faith, I have learned to approach problems and challenges differently, both in my own life, and in the world around me. I am particularly grateful to Inter-Varsity Christian Fellowship and its associated Peace Country Pioneer Camps (Peace Country, Alberta) for introducing me to the hidden riches of Christian living. Please find photos from my days at Peace Country Pioneer Camps here.

I have many rich memories of growing up with the Springfield, Missouri Unitarian-Universalist Fellowship. I have entered some of my memories here.

I have drawn on both my personal and professional experiences to begin to develop the Inner Skills Network Website. Over the longer term, I am interested in developing Inner Skills Workbooks for a variety of target groups. These may include adult and youth groups, Aboriginal people, and others.

I presently maintain an independent psychological practice in the town of Kenora. Please feel free to visit other pages on my site to learn more about my friends, family, activities and interests!
